Domestic pepper prices: Stable after a week of fluctuations
As of 11:30 today (6.9), the domestic pepper market is stable. Currently, the purchase price of pepper is recorded at 142,000 - 143,000 VND/kg.
Gia Lai, Binh Phuoc and Ba Ria - Vung Tau are the three provinces listed at 142,000 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, Dak Nong and Dak Lak are currently the two provinces with the highest purchasing price in the country, reaching 143,000 VND/kg.

World pepper prices: Developments in the same direction
In the world market, pepper prices continue to remain stable. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets is no exception. Currently, these two items are listed at 7,437 USD/ton; white pepper is listed at 10,142 USD/ton.
In Vietnam, the export price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l ranges from 6,300 - 6,400 USD/ton. ASTA white pepper prices reached 9,300 USD/ton.
Notably, the Malaysia and Brazil exchanges remained stable. Malaysia's white rice continues to hold the highest price globally at 11,850 USD/ton.

Assessment and forecast
In the context of the decreasing Vietnamese pepper output, many farmers are proactively keeping goods in warehouses waiting for prices, the shortage of goods has further caused the supply-demand balance to side sellers. This is considered a factor that can support pepper prices in the medium and long term.
However, in the short term, the market outlook is still gloomy. Experts predict that if the downward trend continues, pepper prices this week may slide down to 140,000 VND/kg.
