World pepper prices: Indonesia drops in price
In the world market, pepper prices continued to fluctuate after a stable day. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets - "turned around" to lower prices. Currently, these two items have decreased by 0.09% and 0.11%, respectively listed at 7,425 USD/ton (equivalent to 194,862 VND/kg); white pepper is listed at 10,124 USD/ton (about 265,695 VND/kg).
In Vietnam, the export price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l ranges from 6,300 - 6,400 USD/ton (equivalent to 165,338 - 167,962 VND/kg). ASTA white pepper prices reached 9,300 USD/ton (about 244,070 VND/kg).
Similarly, the Malaysia and Brazil exchanges were stable. Malaysia's white rice continues to hold the highest price globally at 11,850 USD/ton (equivalent to 310,992 VND/kg).

Assessment and forecast
Domestic pepper prices have decreased sharply due to low demand and guaranteed supply. Meanwhile, the tax barrier has not been removed, causing the market to be cautious.
However, looking at the long-term strategy, pepper prices still have positive progress thanks to the strategy of expanding the market and promoting deep processing.
