On December 31, domestic gold prices continued to cool down. Stores limited the number of purchases and stopped receiving customers due to overload.

According to Lao Dong reporters' records at 9:18 am today (December 31), the price of plain round gold rings and domestic gold bars continued to decline. At a gold shop in Cau Giay, Hanoi, many people came to queue from 6 am, and the number of people in demand continuously increased.

At 10:30 am on the same day, the store announced that it was temporarily out of gold bars and plain round gold rings, many people had to turn around and leave.

According to information from store staff, each customer is allowed to trade a maximum of 5 taels of plain round gold rings, however, buyers are allowed to "hold gold" from 1-3 taels of gold in hand, more than promised until January 9, 2025.

Ms. Tran Thi Xuan (Thanh Tri commune, Hanoi) traveled a distance of 13km to the gold business store. "I arrived at 7 am to queue to buy, at that time there were only about 10 people. At 9:18 am I completed the transaction, each person was only allowed to buy once a day, so I went with my daughter to avoid having to get up early to queue.

According to many people queuing, in the past 2-3 days, the number of people coming to buy has increased dramatically. Instead of daily transactions, the store has returned to the 3-day limit for the next transaction.

Ms. Vu Minh (Cau Giay, Hanoi) - an elderly customer who came to buy - shared: "Waiting in line for a long time, but I could only buy 1 tael of gold rings because I didn't know how to transfer money. I will save as much as I can to buy gold, later for my children and grandchildren.

Similarly, Ms. Tran Thi Thu (Xuan Phuong ward, Hanoi) struggling to return to the gold shop for 2 consecutive days said: "Yesterday I also queued early, but at 10:30 am the store announced it was out of stock, everyone went home again. Today I continued to come, it was my turn but I still had to sit and wait for another hour when entering the store.

Not as lucky as many people, Mr. Dinh Van Thong (My Dinh, Hanoi) sadly left and expressed: "The store continuously announces, the number of people is large, so sometimes queuing is not necessarily a transaction. I asked relatives who are buying elsewhere to buy with me, waiting for a long time took half a day.
