World oil price today
World oil prices today fluctuated in different directions. At 10:22, WTI crude oil was at 61.59 USD/barrel, up 0.02 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.03%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 61.57 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 61.32 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 64.89 USD/barrel, down 0.02 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.03%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 64.64 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 64.64 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices today traded at the threshold close in the previous session. However, in yesterday's session, the market fluctuated quite strongly with a wide range. After increasing by nearly 2% at the beginning of the morning session, oil prices suddenly reversed and decreased sharply. At the end of the trading session on May 21, both oil products decreased by more than 0.7%.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On May 22, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade jointly announced in the price management session on the afternoon of May 15, 2025. Accordingly, petroleum products have increased simultaneously.
Accordingly, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 403 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline increased by 415 VND/liter, diesel increased by 419 VND/liter, kerosene increased by 285 VND/liter and mazut increased by 627 VND/kg.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the price adjustment period this afternoon, retail prices of gasoline may have opposite adjustments.
Of which, RON 95 gasoline price is forecast to decrease by about 58 VND/liter; E5 gasoline decreases by about 57 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 180 VND/liter.
