World oil price today
World oil prices today fluctuated around the closing price of the previous session. At 10:22, WTI crude oil was at 62.13 USD/barrel, down 0.01 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.02%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 62.14 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 62.17 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 75.50 USD/barrel, down 0.04 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.06%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 75.64 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 65.51 USD/barrel.
Thus, world oil prices fluctuated unpredictably. After a slight decrease in the morning session of the first week of the week, oil prices suddenly reversed and increased, ending yesterday's trading session (May 19); WTI crude oil increased by 0.3%; Brent oil increased by 0.2%. By this morning's session, gasoline products continued to struggle with unclear trends.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On May 20, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities are applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil has been adjusted according to the price of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade jointly announced in the price management session on the afternoon of May 15, 2025. Accordingly, petroleum products have increased simultaneously.
Accordingly, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 403 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline increased by 415 VND/liter, diesel increased by 419 VND/liter, kerosene increased by 285 VND/liter and mazut increased by 627 VND/kg.

Hoang Trong General Trading Company Limited: Diesel 0.05S - II: 1,100 VND/liter, applied at Hai Linh warehouse, Hai Phong; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,150 VND/liter, applied at Hai Linh warehouse, Hai Phong; Diesel 0.05S - II: 950 VND/liter, applied at Bac Ninh warehouse; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,000 VND/liter, applied at Bac Ninh warehouse; E5 gasoline: 1,000 VND/liter, applied at Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec.
Tu Luc Petroleum: Diesel discount 0.05S-II: 1,050 VND/liter; Diesel 0.001S-V: Out of stock; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,150; E5 gasoline: 1,000 VND/liter.
MIPEC Petroleum: RON 95 - III Petroleum Discount: 1,100 VND/liter; E5 Petroleum: 900 VND/liter; Diesel 0.05S-II: 1,150 VND/liter. Applicable to the Northern region.
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may have opposite adjustments.
Of which, RON 95 gasoline price is forecast to decrease by about 100 VND/liter; E5 gasoline decreases by about 90 VND/liter; Diesel increases by about 160 VND/liter.
