In this situation, the Da Nang Center for Disease Control has issued a document advising the Department of Health to request the People's Committees of districts, towns and related departments and branches to proactively strengthen epidemic prevention and control measures.
At the same time, the Department of Health also sent an official dispatch to district and county health centers and medical examination and treatment facilities in the area to strengthen disease control and supervision and be ready to respond when there are unusual situations.
The Da Nang Department of Health especially emphasizes the need to increase communication, in order to raise awareness and responsibility of people in protecting their health.
People are advised not to panic or worry too much but also not to be subjective, need to strictly implement epidemic prevention measures such as wearing masks in public places and on means of transport, washing hands regularly with soap or anti-bacterial solution, limiting large gatherings if not necessary.
