On the occasion of September 2, the retail market in Ho Chi Minh City became vibrant with a series of large-scale promotional programs, domestic purchasing power recovered strongly.

Supermarkets reduce prices simultaneously

Central Retail Vietnam introduces 3 groups of unique label products, including: Collection - fashion line named "Independent - Free - Happy", inspired by traditional elements and national spirit; GO! Viet Farm - a group of domestic agricultural products; and Viet Gems - regional specialties that meet OCOP certification of 3 stars or more.

At the same time, the enterprise also implemented 3 community livelihood projects in 2025 in Da Bac (Phu Tho), Tan Hoa Thanh (Dong Thap) and Dai Minh (Lao Cai), to support improving income for farming households in these localities.

Mr. Jose Mestre - Commercial Director of Fresh Food Industry of Central Retail Vietnam Group - said: "We hope that consumers across the country when visiting and shopping at supermarket systems during the 80th Anniversary of National Day on September 2, will have interesting shopping experiences; actively support regional specialties, community life products, and a series of new brands of our.

This helps Vietnamese goods increasingly affirm their quality and brand reputation in the modern retail system".

Supermarkets such as Co.opmart, Emart, Lotte... have also simultaneously launched large sales programs with many attractive incentives to serve the needs of the people. Many promotional programs are applied to many items from 20-50%, attracting a large number of people to shop during the holidays.

Boosting demand, total retail continues to increase

Director of the Domestic Market Management and Development Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) Tran Huu Linh emphasized: In the past, ministries, branches and localities, including the Ministry of Industry and Trade, have always prioritized the development of domestic markets. Many policies have been issued to support and encourage the development of agricultural products, while creating conditions for people and small businesses to both improve quality and build product brands.

The support of distribution systems such as Central Retail Vietnam plays a very important role in bringing many regional specialties closer to consumers, contributing to building a Vietnamese agricultural product brand not only in the domestic market but also expanding internationally. This not only helps improve livelihoods for the community, but also brings the quintessence of Vietnamese agricultural products to international friends.

With positive growth momentum, during the September 2 holiday this year, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade organized a series of events to promote the City Sale 2025 brand, gathering more than 500 domestic and foreign brands. The event is expected to maintain domestic purchasing power and attract more international visitors.

Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City - said: "Ho Chi Minh City has a very high retail growth rate. We try to take every opportunity to promote consumption. The Department of Industry and Trade coordinates with other departments such as Transportation, Health, Tourism... to bring the best results".

According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, the growth rate of the commercial and service sectors is quite good thanks to the promotions that have promoted clear recovery of domestic purchasing power and consumption and a stable macro foundation.
