On the afternoon of August 31 in Hanoi, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense held a ceremony to award the First and Second Class Military Exploit Medals to the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense.
This is an event to honor achievements and recognize important contributions of the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense in the cause of building the Army, strengthening national defense, building and defending the Fatherland. General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense chaired the ceremony.
On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang delivered a congratulatory speech to the comrades who received the Military Exploit Order, who have made many outstanding contributions to the cause of building the army, strengthening national defense, building and defending the Fatherland.
General Phan Van Giang emphasized that this is a noble award of the Party and State, demonstrating the concern, trust, and recognition of contributions and achievements for individuals, and at the same time, a recognition of the outstanding contributions and high responsibility of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and all officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) throughout the glorious journey.
General Phan Van Giang affirmed: We deeply recognize that the results achieved in today's work are still modest, requiring more efforts, constantly practicing, improving capacity, political qualities, and moral qualities to contribute more to the revolutionary cause of the Party, the nation and the trust and expectations of the Party, the State and the people, the cadres and soldiers.

At the ceremony, authorized by the President, General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense - awarded the First Class Military Exploit Order to General Trinh Van Quyet - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and members of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense, including: General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong; Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh; Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San.
General Phan Van Giang also awarded the Second Class Military Exploit Order to members of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Ministers of National Defense, including: Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang.
