Accordingly, the National Assembly Standing Committee will add 2 law projects to the 2024 legislative program with basic policies as proposed by the Government, including:
Project to amend and supplement a number of articles of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army: Submit to the National Assembly for comments and approval at the 8th session (October 2024) according to the procedure at one session and in a simplified order and procedure.
Data Law Project: Submit to the National Assembly for comments at the 8th session (October 2024) and approval at the 9th session (May 2025).
The National Assembly Standing Committee assigns the Government as the submitting agency, the National Defense and Security Committee as the presiding agency for verification, the Ethnic Council, and other Committees of the National Assembly as the participating agencies for verification of the 2 law projects above.
According to the schedule, the Project to amend and supplement a number of articles of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army will be submitted to the National Assembly Standing Committee for consideration and comments at the August 2024 legal thematic session, while the Data Law Project will be submitted at the 37th session (September 2024).
