On June 9, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Local Government 3 - Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department coordinated with the Vietnam Journalists Association to organize a seminar on "The role of the press in propagating Resolution 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo on private economic development".
In his opening speech, Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission - said that General Secretary To Lam emphasized that Resolution 68 is one of four important Resolutions issued by the Politburo in recent times, along with Resolution 57 (breakthrough in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation), Resolution 59 (international integration in the new situation) and Resolution 66 (innovation in law-making and enforcement to meet the requirements of national development in the new era).
This is a "four pillars" that create momentum for the country to develop strongly in the new era, aiming to become a developed country with high income by 2045.
Resolution 68 alone, according to Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy, demonstrates a breakthrough thinking about the role of the private economy, affirming that this sector is one of the top important drivers of the economy.
Resolution 68 proposes many solutions to promote innovation, increase competitiveness, improve quality, efficiency and sustainability of the private sector. At the same time, arouse the spirit of entrepreneurship, legitimate enrichment, and build a team of entrepreneurs with the desire to contribute to the development of the country.
To realize the spirit of Resolution 68, it is necessary to have the active participation of the press in propagating, disseminating and spreading the contents of the Resolution to the whole society, especially the team of entrepreneurs and workers - Mr. Thuy emphasized.
At the seminar, delegates shared many perspectives, experiences and specific proposals to improve the effectiveness of the propaganda of Resolution 68.
The press needs to play the role of a "connector" between the Party and the State with people and businesses; conveying policies in everyday, easy-to-understand, and easy-to-reach language; turning dry documents into vivid stories, close to life.
The press must also promote its role as a social critic, honestly reflect the shortcomings arising in the implementation of Resolution 68, and at the same time propose initiatives and solutions to perfect the mechanism and improve the investment - business environment.
In his concluding remarks, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission - highly appreciated the quality of the presentations at the seminar.
Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat commented that the press has recently contributed to spreading the spirit of Resolution 68, attracting the attention of society and creating a positive effect on the business community.
Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat said that in order for Resolution 68 to "absorb" into life, the press needs to perform well four main roles: Propagating and widely disseminating the content of Resolution 68; setting good examples and good practices in developing the private economy; accompanying and supervising the implementation of the Resolution at all levels and sectors; implementing social criticism, contributing to building mechanisms and policies suitable to reality.
