On February 19, the People's Committee of Hau Giang province held a conference to implement the Decision on organizing the apparatus and personnel work in the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee.
At the conference, the Decisions of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on early retirement for Mr. Le Phuoc Thai - Director of the Department of Finance of Hau Giang province; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Trieu - Head of the Ethnic Committee of Hau Giang province; Mr. Vo Thanh Chinh - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Hau Giang province; Mr. Hong Xuan Binh and Mr. Vo Phu Cuong, both Deputy Directors of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of Hau Giang province, were announced.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Huyen praised the comrades who have voluntarily retired early or quit their jobs to facilitate the work of restructuring the province's apparatus and cadres.
"You are shining examples of a sense of responsibility in work and sacrifice personal rights for the common interests of the province... Hopefully, when you retire, you will continue to contribute your strength and intelligence to your homeland Hau Giang to continue to develop, be beautiful and civilized", said the Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee.
The Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee informed that the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee ensures synchronization, unity, and connectivity in state management of sectors and fields.
After this arrangement, Hau Giang province has reduced 6 departments and agencies across departments, reduced 16 specialized departments, accounting for 28.1%, exceeding the Central's orientation; reduced 5 Director positions, reduced 15 Deputy Director positions, reduced 20 Department Head positions, reduced 6 Deputy Department Head positions. Since 2017, the province has reduced 69/125 specialized departments under provincial departments, branches and sectors, accounting for 55.2%.
