On February 19, the People's Committee of Hau Giang province held a conference to implement the decision on the organization of the apparatus and personnel work in the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee.
Accordingly, specialized agencies under the People's Committee of Hau Giang province were established, including: the Department of Finance on the basis of merging the Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Finance; Decision on Mr. Nguyen Dang Hai holding the position of Director of the Department of Finance; Department of Construction on the basis of merging the Department of Construction and the Department of Transport; Decision on Mr. Mai Van Tan holding the position of Director of the Department of Construction; Department of Agriculture and Environment on the basis of merging the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Decision on Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh holding the position of Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Department of Science and Technology on the basis of merging the Department of Science, Technology and Information and Communications; Decision on Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Hoang holds the position of Director of the Department of Industry and Trade; Decision on the position of Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of the Department of Industry and Trade of the Department of the Department of Industry and Environment; Decision on Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh holding the position of Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Decision on the Department of Science and Technology on the basis of merging the Department of Industry and Environment.
Reorganize specialized agencies under the Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee such as: Department of Health, Department of Education and Training, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Justice. Maintain specialized agencies under the Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee such as: Department of Industry and Trade, Provincial Inspectorate, Provincial People's Committee Office.
The conference also announced the decision of the Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee to transfer and appoint Mr. Vo Quoc Su - Chairman of Chau Thanh District People's Committee - to hold the position of Deputy Chief Inspector of Hau Giang Province; Transfer Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai - Deputy Director of Hau Giang Provincial Department of Information and Communications - to work at Hau Giang Provincial Friendship Organizations Union, carrying out the process of electing him to hold the position of Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial Friendship Organizations Union.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Huyen informed that after the arrangement, Hau Giang province reduced 6 departments and agencies across departments, reduced 16 specialized departments, accounting for more than 28%, exceeding the Central's orientation, reduced 5 Director and 15 Deputy Directors, reduced 20 Department Head and 6 Deputy Department Head positions. If calculated from 2017, when implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW to date, Hau Giang province has reduced 69 specialized departments under provincial departments, branches and sectors, accounting for 55.2%.
The Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee requested urgent implementation of tasks according to the new organizational model; closely coordinate with competent agencies to closely follow the regulations and instructions of the Central and the province to promptly develop, review, amend and supplement regulations on the functions, tasks and working regulations of each affiliated unit in each agency, also in the spirit of "running and lining up" to ensure full implementation of new functions and tasks of each agency and unit.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested to continue to disseminate and implement documents of the Central and the province on summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW. Do a good job of ideological work, soon stabilize the organization of the apparatus, facilities, and working conditions to implement work from March 1, 2025, ensuring that the new apparatus must be better than the old apparatus, without interruptions in work, without gaps in time, and without vacant areas and fields.
Arrange and assign appropriate staff, promote professional capacity, maintain discipline and order. Pay attention to fully and promptly implementing regimes and policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers affected by the process of restructuring the apparatus.
For comrades appointed to hold new responsibilities, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that they should urgently start working, quickly grasp the new work; promote a high sense of responsibility in work; make every effort, focus on research, have a spirit of openness to think, dare to do, dare to propose, dare to take responsibility in performing tasks and powers, "loyal - honest - united - united heart"; modestly learn, listen to opinions from comrades and colleagues; create a truly vibrant new atmosphere, high determination to successfully carry out the tasks in 2025.
