On June 29, the People's Council (HĐND) of An Giang province, term XI (term 2026 - 2031) held the 3rd session (specialized session) to consider and give opinions on 19 important draft resolutions.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thanh Nhan said that the meeting takes place at a time when levels and sectors are focusing on reviewing the results of task implementation in the first 6 months of the year and preparing solutions for implementation in the last 6 months of the year. In that context, the organization of the thematic meeting is very practical, in addition to solving important and urgent arising issues, the meeting also considers a number of issues that must be decided before July 1, 2026 according to the Law. Thereby creating proactiveness for the Provincial People's Committee in managing socio-economic development in the last months of the year and more importantly, bringing new mechanisms and policies into life sooner, so that people and businesses can benefit sooner.
In that spirit, at this session, the Provincial People's Council will consider 19 contents. Among them, the highlight is the continued completion of mechanisms and policies after reviewing legal normative documents; removing bottlenecks in land, resources and investment to unlock development resources; promulgating financial mechanisms to serve the work of building and organizing law enforcement according to the new policy of the Central Government; and at the same time approving policies to contribute to preserving the language and writing of ethnic minorities and other social security policies.

It can be said that each resolution considered at the session is aimed at solving a specific requirement of practice, but together towards the common goal of improving the quality of local governance, creating a more favorable environment for development and serving the people better and better, emphasized the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.
The contents presented at this session have been carefully prepared by the Provincial People's Committee and strictly appraised by the Provincial People's Council Boards. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan requested the Provincial People's Council delegates to maximize their sense of responsibility to voters and the People; focus on carefully studying dossiers and documents; discuss and thoroughly consider each content; fully assess the necessity, legality, feasibility and effectiveness of policies so that the resolutions passed truly ensure quality and have the ability to be effectively implemented immediately after the session.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan also requested the Provincial People's Committee, relevant departments and agencies to continue to closely coordinate with the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the Boards of the Provincial People's Council in the process of explaining, receiving, and completing the contents submitted to the session; ensuring that after the session, the resolutions must be quickly concretized into specific programs, plans and actions.
