On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), on August 21, in Hanoi, the People's Army Newspaper (QDND) launched the Russian-language Electronic QDND Newspaper.
The launching ceremony was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Vietnam Gennady Stepanovich Bezdetko, Adbassador of the Embassy of Belarus to Vietnam Shloma Oleg Stanislavovich, Adbassador of the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Vietnam Samir Malikli.
Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Doan Xuan Bo - Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Newspaper - said that the People's Army Newspaper aims to strengthen the foreign information work of the Party and State of Vietnam in general, focusing on Russian defense diplomacy in the People's Army Electronic Newspaper after launching the Russian page. Thereby, contributing to promoting and introducing the country and people of Vietnam, and the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
At the same time, contribute to raising awareness of the young generation as well as the officers and soldiers of the armed forces about the responsibility to preserve and expand the good traditional relationship between Vietnam and Russia, along with actively fighting against erroneous and distorted viewpoints, undermining solidarity and development cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
Major General Doan Xuan Bo also emphasized the importance of "stability, standards, and ease of acceptance" of the content conveyed to the public, in the context of information becoming more diverse than ever.
With that approach, the Electronic People's Army Newspaper needs to closely follow the Party's guidelines and viewpoints, strictly comply with and creatively guide the propaganda of the Editorial Board, and have new perspectives and approaches in line with the development of the current press.
