On December 18, at Bao Loc 1 village, Vong Xuyen commune, Phuc Tho district, Hanoi city, Army Corps 12 held a ceremony to present funding to support the construction of "Comrades' House" for Lieutenant Colonel, professional soldier Le Van Binh, an employee of Truong Son Branch 28/Army Corps 12.
Speaking to Lao Dong reporter, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hoai Nam - Party Secretary of Truong Son Branch 28/Army Corps 12 - said that the unit has handed over "Comrades' Houses" to soldiers in especially difficult circumstances. These are very meaningful activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day.
"The family of Lieutenant Colonel, professional soldier Le Van Binh is in extremely difficult circumstances, his biological mother is old and weak, his biological father is old and has a serious illness and passed away in November 2023.
Comrade Binh's wife is a junior high school teacher but is in poor health. Comrade Binh himself also has a serious illness that requires long-term treatment and often has to go to the 103 Military Hospital for examination and treatment," said Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hoai Nam.
Although always trying, dedicated in work, completing all assigned tasks well, life is still difficult, the small family of Lieutenant Colonel, professional soldier Le Van Binh lives with his parents in a level 4 house built a long time ago, now degraded but due to difficult conditions, there is no money to rebuild.
In 2024, considering the family circumstances of Lieutenant Colonel, professional soldier Le Van Binh, the Party Committee and Commander of Truong Son 28 branch proposed that the Head of the 12th Corps Command approve financial support for the construction of a comrades' house with an amount of 80 million VND from the budget of the "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Committee supported by the Corps.
In the joy of having a new house, Lieutenant Colonel, professional soldier Le Van Binh expressed: "Without the care and support of the Party Committee, commanders at all levels and comrades, our family would not have a warm house like now. I promise to uphold my responsibility and try to complete all tasks assigned by the unit."
Also according to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hoai Nam, on this occasion, the unit promoted a high sense of responsibility, completed construction at lightning speed to hand over infrastructure and 15 houses to welcome households in Nam Tong village, Nam Luc commune, Bac Ha district, Lao Cai province who suffered heavy losses in human lives and property due to storm No. 3 (Yagi), helping people stabilize their lives.
