According to the Government Portal on May 18, the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee has just had a meeting to listen to the report and give comments on the situation of drafting the Resolution of the Politburo on modernization, breakthrough development of education and training and the Politburo's resolution on breakthrough in people's health care, meeting the country's development requirements in the new era.
The two new resolutions do not replace but rather one step more concretized the resolutions of the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Government, reorganizing into new resolutions in a more inclusive and comprehensive direction, removing difficulties and obstacles in these two sectors that we are facing, such as in terms of institutions, mechanisms, policies, and resources; meeting the people's wishes.
In which, the Draft Resolution of the Politburo on breakthroughs in people's health care, meeting the requirements of national development in the new era demonstrates the goals and roadmap for exempting hospital fees for people; periodic health check-ups; ensuring vaccines, vaccinations; improving the quality of medical services; ensuring the supply of drugs, medical equipment, and effective application of science and technology.
The content that attracted much attention was the Draft proposing basic tasks and solutions such as: Innovation in thinking in leadership, direction and organization of people's health care implementation; improving the capacity of the health system, especially preventive medicine, grassroots health care, traditional medicine;
Training high-quality medical human resources, with special treatment policies for medical human resources; promoting health finance reform; breakthroughs in science, technology development, innovation and digital transformation in the health sector; breakthroughs in private health development, mobilizing and effectively using all resources for the development of the health system.
Speaking at the meeting on the afternoon of May 17, Member of the Politburo and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested urgently to complete the draft Resolution; According to the change from medical examination and treatment, to the care and protection of the people's health, with the motto of caring and protecting the people's health is above all, first of all, basically, strategic, long -term, decisive, medical examination and treatment are frequent and unexpected.
In particular, implementing public health care according to the two-level local government model; ensuring equal access to health care, especially in remote, border, island and ethnic minority areas; developing preventive medicine, grassroots health care; improving the physical strength of Vietnamese people, overcoming population aging;
Develop pharmaceutical industry, vaccine industry; improve healthcare quality; build digital hospitals, smart hospitals; determine a roadmap for hospital fees exemption for people as soon as possible, first of all free medical examination and treatment for children.
