On behalf of the Politburo, Politburo Member, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu has just signed and issued Conclusion No. 14-KL/TW dated March 20, 2026 on ensuring stable fuel supply and prices in the new situation.
Conclusion No. 14-KL/TW clearly states that at the meeting on March 20, 2026, after considering the report of the Party Committee of the Government and relevant agencies on the gasoline and oil price situation related to the Middle East war and regions around the world.
The Politburo concluded as follows:
1. Assign the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee to urgently lead and direct agencies to closely monitor and forecast the situation, supply and demand developments and world gasoline and oil prices to proactively build effective response scenarios; consider immediately using fiscal policy tools (taxes, fees, expenditures, budget advances), monetary policy (interest rate support, loans, foreign currency demand), price management policies, trade policies,... combined with strengthening inspection and examination measures, tightening management against smuggling, strictly managing focal points and traders; strictly handling the situation of hoarding goods for profit, trade fraud.
Encourage savings in consumption to ensure stable supply, minimize fluctuations in increasing prices of raw materials and fuels in the country that negatively affect the production and business activities of enterprises, people's lives, macroeconomic stability, ensure social security and order, promptly report to competent authorities on issues that need direction; soon develop a national strategy on supply and reserve of raw materials and fuels in the long term.
2. Party Committees of Ministries: Foreign Affairs, Industry and Trade, Finance lead and direct agencies to proactively and actively exchange with foreign partners, create conditions for domestic enterprises to purchase raw materials and fuels, and ensure supply for production and business activities.
3. Assign the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee to direct press and media agencies to provide appropriate information to ensure market psychological stability.
Party committees at all levels at the Central and local levels lead and direct agencies, organizations, branches, and affiliated units to thoroughly grasp and fully implement the policies of the Central Government and the Politburo on socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, joining hands and hearts to overcome difficulties, steadfastly and persistently pursuing the goal of double-digit economic growth in 2026 and the following years, contributing to the successful implementation of the resolution of Party congresses at all levels.
