On July 9, Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Head of the Civil Defense Command of the Ministry of Public Security sent a letter of commendation to cadres and soldiers of the People's Police and grassroots Civil Defense forces.
According to the Letter of Commendation, in the past time, the complicated developments of climate change and unpredictable natural disasters have seriously affected regions of our country, causing drought and forest fires in the Central region (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh), drought and lack of clean water in the Mekong Delta (Ca Mau, An Giang, Dong Thap,...), heavy rain, widespread storms and floods, especially in mountainous provinces such as Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Quang Ninh and coastal areas.
Faced with that situation, deeply grasping the direction of the General Secretary, President, Government, Prime Minister, the National Steering Committee for Civil Defense, the direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, and local police have upheld the spirit of responsibility, proactively and drastically implemented response plans to protect the lives and property of the people; typical in storm No. 1 response work.
Muong Khuong Commune Police, Lao Cai province has proactively and promptly evacuated and successfully relocated more than 20 households located in dangerous areas with high risk of landslides and flooding to safe shelters, protecting the integrity of property of households to be relocated; Quang Ninh Provincial Grassroots Police forces have rescued and towed 2 ships drifting at sea in the Mui Ngoc area, Mong Cai 1 ward to safe shelters; Can Yen Commune Police, Cao Bang province promptly rescued 3 people trapped to safe places... and there are many typical examples.
The rapid and timely response, regardless of danger, of the civil defense force at the grassroots level is a bright example of the spirit of "For the country, forgetting oneself, serving the people", showing the bright spirit of revolutionary heroism, bravery, fighting spirit, loyalty, organizational discipline awareness, closely following the People, proactively "taking the lead" in civil defense work, disaster prevention and control;
Closely linked, enriching the "blood and flesh" relationship with the people, building a solid art of people's defense with a proactive defense posture; always present in the most difficult and dangerous places to support the people, absolutely loyal to the core goal, considering ensuring the lives, health and safety of the people as the top priority.
