At about 2 pm on July 9, in the Ban Sen sea area, Van Don special zone, Quang Ninh province, a ship capsizing with registration number HP-4914 occurred.
According to initial information, ship HP-4914 is captained by Mr. Vu Thanh Long, born in 1973, residing in Hai Phong city.
At the time of the incident, there were 5 people on board.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Van Don Special Zone People's Committee directed the Special Zone Military Command, Special Zone Police, Ha Long Border Guard Station and other forces to urgently mobilize personnel and vehicles to approach the scene and deploy search and rescue operations.
Functional forces rescued 3 people and took them to Van Don Regional General Hospital for emergency treatment, but two people are still missing.
Currently, the Military Command of the special zone, the Special Zone Police, Ha Long Border Guard Station and related forces are still focusing manpower and vehicles, continuing to deploy search and rescue plans.
Van Don Special Zone People's Committee has reported to the functional sectors of the province, requesting to strengthen forces and vehicles to serve rescue work.
