This afternoon (December 31), the Communist Review Magazine organized a Conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work. Politburo member, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu chaired the Conference.
Accordingly, the Politburo decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Duong Trung Y - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics - to hold the position of Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Review Magazine.
Mr. Duong Trung Y was also appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Communist Review Agency for the term 2025-2030.
Previously, Mr. Hoang Trung Dung, Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Review Magazine, was transferred and appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee.

Speaking to assign tasks, Politburo Member, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu said that Mr. Duong Trung Y is a cadre who has been formally trained, grown up and experienced many working positions of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
Mr. Duong Trung Y is assessed as a cadre with political bravery, a foundation of political theory and scientific thinking, making many important contributions to the research of political theory and training and fostering cadres.
In all working positions, he always strives to complete the assigned tasks well, making an important contribution to the overall achievements and results of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
The Standing Secretary of the Secretariat requested the new Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Review to continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, maintain political bravery, constantly cultivate and train, and unite with the collective leadership of the Review to focus on leading and directing the successful implementation and excellent completion of all subsequent tasks.
Speaking to receive the assignment, Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Review Duong Trung Y expressed his deep gratitude to the Politburo, the Secretariat, Party and State leaders for their concern, trust, and entrusting him with the important responsibility of Editor-in-Chief of a major press agency, the leading political theoretical forum of the Party.
He shared that becoming the head of the major journal of the Party is an honor and pride, but also a heavy political responsibility to the Party, State and people.
Mr. Duong Trung Y shared about receiving the task in the context that the Party is implementing strategic policies to bring the country into a new era of development, increasingly requiring innovation in theoretical thinking, firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation against new challenges.
He deeply expressed that this is not only an inheritance of glorious tradition but also the responsibility to continue innovating, elevating the role, prestige and position of the magazine in the new context.
Mr. Duong Trung Y promised to absolutely comply with the leadership and direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the General Secretary and the Standing Secretary of the Secretariat, promoting the tradition of solidarity, wisdom, and political bravery of all leaders, officials, and editors of the Magazine.
Mr. Duong Trung Y was born in 1971; native of Bac Ninh province. He has worked for many years at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
