On the afternoon of January 15, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment organized a Conference to collect opinions from voters in their workplaces for people expected to be introduced to run for National Assembly deputy of the XVI term.
Speaking at the conference, Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Duc Thang emphasized that the National Assembly is the highest representative body of the people, the highest state power body, where the will, aspirations and mastery of the people of the whole country are concentrated. The activities of the National Assembly play a particularly important role in deciding the direction of national development, building and perfecting the legal system, exercising the supreme supervisory power over the State's activities, thereby contributing to ensuring discipline and legal system, promoting socio-economic development, maintaining national defense and security, and constantly improving people's lives.
According to the Minister, the selection and introduction of people who meet the standards and conditions for running for National Assembly deputies is not only a procedural process, but also the political responsibility of each agency, unit and each voter.
At the conference, 100% of voters present voted unanimously to introduce Minister Tran Duc Thang, Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien and Deputy Director of the Department of Management and Construction of Irrigation Works Luong Van Anh as having sufficient conditions, standards and prestige to run for National Assembly Deputy of the XVI term.
Commenting on the cadres who introduced candidates for the 16th National Assembly, voters' opinions affirmed that comrade Tran Duc Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Government Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Agriculture and Environment - is a cadre and party member with a firm stance, viewpoint, and political bravery; serious, regularly striving, cultivating qualities, ethics, and lifestyle in the spirit of Resolution of the 4th Central Committee (11th, 12th term) associated with "Learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style"; having a spirit of solidarity, gathering, and creating high internal consensus. Comrade has a proper attitude, respectfulness, and receptiveness in coordination with organizations and individuals; being close to reality; being dedicated and responsible for the obstacles of organizations and individuals.
Comrade Tran Duc Thang is a cadre who has been formally trained, trained from practice, experienced in many positions, in charge of many fields at the central and local levels; is a leader with bravery, intelligence, always dedicated, concerned and highly responsible for work; has innovative thinking and breakthrough ways of doing things, and is sensitive in policy response to immediately solve the problems posed by the ministry's management practices and the socio-economic development situation of the country.
Comrade Tran Duc Thang has experienced and excellently completed tasks in many key leadership and management positions at the Central and local levels, meeting the requirements set for high-level leadership cadres of the Party and State. Comrade fully converges the qualities, prestige, capacity and conditions of a typical National Assembly delegate.

Comrade Phung Duc Tien was well-trained, has high theoretical and professional qualifications; has held many positions, has rich practical experience; comrade has been a National Assembly Deputy of the XIII term (2011-2016); is a cadre with a high sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, seriousness; directing and handling work decisively, drastically, promptly, and effectively.
With his qualifications, capacity, qualities and rich practical experience, Comrade Phung Duc Tien fully meets the standards and conditions of a candidate for National Assembly Deputy of the XVI term according to regulations.
Comrade Luong Van Anh is a cadre who has basic training; has the capacity to organize, direct, and manage work. In the past time, in various working positions, Comrade Luong Van Anh has promoted his qualifications, professional capacity, and strengths; demonstrated the role of a cadre and party member in advising, directing, and managing; advising, directing, and organizing the good implementation of assigned tasks according to the program and work plan, ensuring progress, quality and efficiency, creating many important and clear changes in the assigned field and work. Comrade meets the general standards of a candidate for National Assembly Deputy of the XVI term according to regulations.
Speaking at the conference, Minister Tran Duc Thang said that he personally, along with two comrades Phung Duc Tien and Luong Van Anh, always deeply understands the role and responsibility of the People's Deputy, the representative of the will, aspirations and right to mastery of the People before the National Assembly.
If they are trusted by voters and become National Assembly deputies of the XVI term, the deputies promise to constantly strive to best perform the responsibilities and tasks of the People's Deputy; participate in quality and responsibility in the activities of the National Assembly; proactively research and contribute to the institutionalization of the 14th Party Congress Resolution and the Politburo's resolutions, meeting the requirements of national development in the new era; seriously perform the function of supreme supervision, maintain close contact with voters and the People through forms of voter contact, conferences...
