On March 16, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 618/QD-TTg, appointing Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tu - Director of the Department of Civil and Economic Law, Ministry of Justice - to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Justice.
According to the decision, the appointment term is 5 years. The decision takes effect from the date of signing.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tu was born in 1978, from Quang Binh; has a PhD in Law, Bachelor of Economics, and Senior Political degree.
Mr. Tu was a cadre from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law to the Ministry of Justice in 2011. At that time, he was appointed Deputy Director of the International Law Department.
In September 2015, he was transferred to work at the Department of Civil and Economic Law, appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Civil and Economic Law, assigned to hold the position of Acting Director of the Department of Civil and Economic Law and then held the position of Director of the Department of Civil and Economic Law until he was appointed Deputy Minister of Justice.
Currently, the leadership of the Ministry of Justice includes Minister Nguyen Hai Ninh and 5 Deputy Ministers: Dang Hoang Oanh, Nguyen Thanh Tinh, Mai Luong Khoi, Nguyen Thanh Ngoc, Nguyen Thanh Tu.
