At around 3:00 p.m. on March 16, a fire broke out at a hotel on Hoang Huu Nam Street, Long Thanh My Ward, Thu Duc City. Firefighting forces arrived in time to rescue 6 people ( Initially 4 people) trapped outside safely.

According to witnesses, the fire broke out from the hotel, black smoke covered the entire area. People nearby quickly used on-site fire extinguishers to put out the fire and reported it to the authorities.

Long Thanh My Ward Police and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police - Thu Duc City Police quickly mobilized forces and vehicles to the scene. After a period of efforts, the authorities successfully rescued 4 adults and 2 children from the fire.
By the evening of March 16, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police - Ho Chi Minh City Police had received information about the fire starting from a hotel on Hoang Huu Nam Street, Long Thanh My Ward, Thu Duc City and had mobilized the Thu Duc City Area Team, Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 1, Area 2 - PC07 and Fire Fighting and Rescue Team - PC07 to the rescue work site.
The damage from the fire was about 13/15m2 of room 202 (3rd floor) of the hotel with some items (matchboards, tables, chairs, wooden cabinets, etc.).
The hotel where the fire occurred has 5 floors. According to local residents, at the time of the fire, there were many people inside the hotel renting rooms. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
