Can Tho City People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 756/QD-UBND on the completion of the City Emulation and Reward Council (abbreviated as the Council) chaired by Mr. Tran Van Lau - Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee.

The Vice Chairmen of the Council include Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep - Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee (first Vice Chairman of the City Emulation and Reward Council); Mr. Tran Thanh Liem - Acting Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Standing member of the Council; Mr. Tran Van Chinh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city; Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city and Chairman of the City Labor Federation.
The Council also has 15 members and 1 secretary. Accordingly, depending on the content and nature of each Council session, the Chairman will invite representatives of relevant agencies and organizations to attend.
The City Emulation and Reward Council is responsible for advising the Chairman of the City People's Committee to launch emulation movements under its authority; inspect and supervise emulation movements and the implementation of legal policies and strategies on emulation and rewards; review and propose rewards for emulation titles and forms of commendation under its authority.
At the same time, periodically evaluate the results of emulation movements and reward work, advise on preliminary and final summaries of emulation and reward work; recommend and propose policies and measures to promote patriotic emulation movements in each year and each stage.
The Council works under the collective regime and the Council's operating regulations. Council members are allowed to use the domestic apparatus of the agency where they work to carry out assigned tasks.
