According to Can Tho Electronic Information Portal, the Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee has just issued Official Letter No. 484/UBND-XDDT on strengthening the management of construction order in the area.
The Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the Chairmen of the Commune People's Committees to urgently organize the strict implementation of construction order management in accordance with regulations; strengthen inspection and control of investors' responsibilities in implementing construction investment procedures; promptly and thoroughly handle violations in the area.
At the same time, proactively review and handle works that violate the construction order that are still pending; enhance the role of leaders, tighten discipline and administrative discipline; strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to comply with construction laws; Regularly and suddenly report implementation results and difficulties and problems to the Department of Construction for guidance and support.
The Chairman of the City People's Committee also assigned the Department of Construction to strengthen specialized inspections and surprise inspections; urge and guide the People's Committees at the commune level in inspection and handling of violations; Timely advise the City People's Committee on measures to rectify and overcome shortcomings and handle responsibilities of organizations and individuals with lax management; preside over the advise on promulgating regulations on decentralization of construction order management in accordance with regulations, to be completed in August 2025.
To improve the effectiveness and efficiency of construction order management, contributing to building a civilized, modern and sustainable Can Tho urban area, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested departments, branches, sectors, and commune-level People's Committees to closely coordinate and synchronously and effectively implement solutions.
