On January 15, the 17th Cao Bang Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, held the 40th Session (thematic) to consider and decide on a number of important contents under its authority, including personnel work.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Be Thanh Tinh emphasized that the session implements the process of dismissal and additional election of a number of leadership positions of the Provincial People's Committee and the Boards of the Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026.
This is an important task to consolidate the organizational structure, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of local government operations. The comrade requested delegates to promote the spirit of responsibility, democracy, and solidarity to contribute to the success of the session.
The session implemented the process of dismissing Mr. Duong Hung Dung (Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee) from the position of Member of the Provincial People's Committee; dismissing Mr. Nong Hai Luu from the position of Head of the Culture - Society Committee of the Provincial People's Council; and dismissing Mr. La Van Hong from the position of Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council due to transfer.
At the same time, the Provincial People's Council elected Mr. Duong Hung Dung as Head of the Economic - Budget Committee and Mr. La Van Hong as Head of the Culture - Society Committee of the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Be Thanh Tinh affirmed that the 40th Session has completed the entire content of the proposed program, and approved 7 resolutions on personnel work.
He requested the newly elected officials to continue to uphold the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, innovation, and work with the provincial leadership to successfully implement socio-economic development tasks, meeting the trust of voters and people.
