On February 28, Quang Ngai Provincial Police held a ceremony to receive functions and tasks from 4 departments and branches according to the policy of the Politburo and the Central Steering Committee to summarize the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 6th Central Conference, 12th tenure.
At the ceremony, the leaders of the Department of Home Affairs announced the decisions of the Provincial People's Committee on transferring the functions, tasks, finances, and assets under state management of network information security from the Department of Information and Communications to the Provincial Police; transfer the functions, tasks, finances, and assets under state management to test, issue driving licenses, register, and manage specialized motorbikes from the Department of Transport to the Provincial Police.
Transfer the functions and tasks of drug rehabilitation and post-drug rehabilitation management of the Provincial Social Work Center (Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs) to the Provincial Police; transfer the functions and tasks of state management of criminal records and perform public services to issue Judicial Records from the Department of Justice to the Provincial Police.The decisions take effect from March 1, 2025.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province emphasized that the acceptance ceremony is the beginning of difficult tasks that both the delivery and receiving parties must solve, requiring strong leadership and direction, high focus for the new apparatus to operate effectively, efficiently and efficiently. Thereby, contributing to promoting the building of a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern provincial police force, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.
