Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Vinh Long province, Bui Van Nghiem, was transferred and assigned to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission.

This afternoon (January 23), the Central Internal Affairs Committee held a conference to implement the Politburo's decision on personnel work.

At the conference, Mr. Phan Thang An - Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee - announced the Politburo's decision on personnel work.

Accordingly, the Politburo decided that Mr. Bui Van Nghiem - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the 15th term of Vinh Long province - ceased participating in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, ceased holding the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; transferred, assigned, and appointed to the position of Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission.

At the conference, on behalf of the Politburo, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac presented the decision and congratulated Mr. Bui Van Nghiem on his new responsibility.

Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac hopes that Mr. Bui Van Nghiem, in his new position, will continue to promote his professional capacity, promote the results and work experience he has achieved, continue to make efforts, uphold the sense of responsibility, pioneering and exemplary in work, and unite with the leadership of the Central Internal Affairs Commission to successfully complete the assigned political tasks.

Speaking at the ceremony to accept the assignment, the new Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Bui Van Nghiem expressed that being assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission is a recognition and trust of the Politburo, and also a great responsibility before the Party and the people.

Deeply aware of his responsibility, Mr. Bui Van Nghiem pledged to continuously strive with the leadership of the Central Internal Affairs Commission to inherit and strongly promote the tradition of solidarity and valuable experience of the Commission to do a good job of advising and assisting the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat on policies and guidelines in the fields of internal affairs, anti-corruption, and judicial reform.

Mr. Bui Van Nghiem also pledged to enhance his sense of responsibility, quickly approach the assigned field, continue to study, cultivate, practice, maintain moral qualities, lifestyle and improve working capacity, wholeheartedly together with the Central Internal Affairs Committee strive to complete the assigned tasks to the highest level.

Mr. Bui Van Nghiem was born in 1966, in Quoi An commune, Vung Liem district, Vinh Long province; professional qualifications: Bachelor of Party Building and State Administration, Master of Political Science, Doctor of Political Science; Senior in political theory.

During his career, Mr. Bui Van Nghiem has held many positions: Deputy Chief of Office, Chief of Office of Vung Liem District Party Committee, Vinh Long; Vice Chairman, Acting Chairman of Vung Liem District People's Committee, Secretary of Vung Liem District Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Council, Chairman of Provincial People's Council, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Council.

At the 13th National Congress of the Party, Mr. Bui Van Nghiem was elected to the Party Central Committee. In April 2021, he held the position of Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Vinh Long province. Since July 2021, he has been a deputy of the 15th National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Vinh Long province.
