This morning (November 27), in Hanoi, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong chaired a working session with the Central Internal Affairs Committee - the Standing Agency of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform, to give opinions on a number of key directions and tasks of judicial reform in the coming time, and to complete the regulations on functions, tasks, powers, working regime, and working relations of the Steering Committee.
Attending the meeting were Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform Phan Dinh Trac; representatives of the leaders of the Office of the President and the Central Internal Affairs Commission.
According to VNA, at the meeting, the Central Internal Affairs Commission reported to the President on some situations and results of judicial reform work in recent times and the reception of opinions from Politburo members and relevant agencies to complete the draft Regulation on functions, tasks, powers, and working relationships of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform.
President Luong Cuong praised and appreciated the Central Internal Affairs Commission for closely coordinating with agencies to research and complete the draft Regulations to submit to the Politburo for consideration and promulgation; at the same time, he requested to continue to proactively coordinate, advise, and prepare well the content of the first meeting after the Politburo issued the Decision to reorganize the Steering Committee.
The President requested the Central Internal Affairs Commission to focus on advising on the development of a key work program until the end of the term, helping the Steering Committee lead and direct the concretization and institutionalization of tasks and solutions on judicial reform according to Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW, dated November 9, 2022 on continuing to build and perfect the socialist rule-of-law state of Vietnam in the new period.
