The Ministry of Health directs units to provide documents
As Lao Dong reported, on the afternoon of January 8, the Government Inspectorate announced its decision to inspect the project to build a new facility 2 of Bach Mai Hospital and the investment project to build a new facility 2 of Viet Duc Friendship Hospital.
Regarding this issue, Mr. Tran Van Thuan - Deputy Minister of Health emphasized that the Ministry of Health clearly recognizes that inspection is an important activity to ensure transparency, publicity and improve efficiency in state management, especially in the health sector.
"This is an opportunity for the Ministry of Health, together with two affiliated units, Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, to review all processes and operations, thereby discovering existing problems and proposing solutions to soon put these two facilities into operation to better serve the cause of caring for and protecting people's health," Mr. Thuan emphasized.
Mr. Thuan said that the Ministry of Health committed to directing relevant departments, agencies, units and the two hospitals to closely coordinate, fully, promptly and honestly provide documents and information as requested by the Inspection Team.
The inspection attracted public attention.
At the announcement of the inspection decision, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Nguyen Van Cuong emphasized that this is an inspection of special importance, receiving great attention from Party and State leaders and public opinion.
The purpose of the inspection is to assess compliance with the law in the implementation of the 2 Projects; detect limitations, shortcomings, and violations (if any); clearly identify the responsibilities of relevant groups and individuals; detect inadequacies and loopholes in the law; thereby take measures to rectify, handle and propose improvements to mechanisms and policies.
Deputy Inspector General of the Government Nguyen Van Cuong requested the Ministry of Health, the Investors of the two projects (the Management Board of Key Projects of the Ministry of Health) and related organizations and individuals to closely coordinate with the Inspection Team, especially assigning people who know the job well to work with the Inspection Team.
Regarding documents, Deputy Inspector General Nguyen Van Cuong suggested that from now on, we should proactively collect, arrange scientifically, have a specific list of all documents, and be ready to provide them to the Inspection Team immediately upon request. The provision of documents must not be delayed.
The Inspection Team must strictly comply with the provisions of law and regulations of the Government Inspector General when conducting direct inspection activities.
As for the Head of the inspection team, it is necessary to disseminate the inspection plan and assign clear tasks, requirements, and tasks to members; accurately identify the focus and key points of the inspection and verification contents.
"The contents discovered through inspection must be reported fully, accurately, objectively, with legal basis and accompanied by sufficient supporting documents" - Deputy Inspector General Nguyen Van Cuong noted.
