On August 12, at the second session (special session) of the 10th term of the Da Nang City People's Council, term 2021-2026, the Da Nang City People's Committee announced the approval of tasks and estimates for funding for purchasing generators, upgrading and renovating the Lan network to the People's Committees of communes and wards.
According to the proposal, the total proposed budget is more than 15.25 billion VND from the Da Nang City budget in 2025. Of which, 1.75 billion VND was spent to buy 7 generators (each worth 250 million VND) to equip the mountainous communes: Phuoc Thanh, Lanh Ngoc, Tra Tap, Tra Tan, A Vuong, Tra Leng and Dac Pring.
The remaining 13.5 billion VND will support upgrading and renovating ASEAN network infrastructure for 45 communes and wards. The support level is 300 million VND/commune, ward.
The People's Committee of Da Nang City said that many mountainous communes currently lack electricity infrastructure, often have power outages during the rainy and stormy season, traffic is difficult, affecting the operation of the government apparatus. Internal network infrastructure and internet transmission lines in many localities are unstable, causing disruptions in the management, operation and provision of public administrative services.
The implementation is expected to be implemented in 2025, to ensure continuous power supply and smooth network infrastructure for grassroots authorities, contributing to improving operational efficiency, especially in mountainous areas, remote areas.
The People's Council of Da Nang City said that according to current regulations, this content is under the authority of the People's Committee of Da Nang City. Therefore, the People's Council of Da Nang City agreed to let the People's Committee of the City consider and decide according to its authority, and at the same time be responsible for the allocation, management and use of the budget.
