The foundation for the new journey
Speaking at the Congress, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed that this is a political event of special significance, laying the foundation and orientation for the new development journey of the Provincial Party Committee in the 2025-2030 term and subsequent terms, bringing Gia Lai and the whole country firmly into an era of prosperous, civilized and happy development.
The Congress took place in the context that the entire political system from the central to local levels is making the highest efforts to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress, while preparing to organize the 14th National Party Congress, elect the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2030 term.
The Central Government's promulgation and direction of the drastic implementation of strategic policies and decisions, especially the revolution of streamlining the organizational apparatus, merging and building a model of local government at both levels, has created a foundation, motivation and confidence in the bright future of the nation in the new era, realizing two noble goals: 100 years of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and 100 years of the founding of the country.
He emphasized that the historic milestone of July 1, 2025 - the time of merging the two former provinces of Binh Dinh and Gia Lai into the new Gia Lai province - has opened up new development space. This is a new political - administrative - economic entities, not only large in scale, but also strong in competitiveness, with comprehensive growth potential, the ability to deeply integrate into the national and global value chain.
It is a combination of revolutionary heroic tradition, with the cultural identity imbued with the soul of the Central Highlands, with the unique culture of the sea and islands of the "Land of War, God of Wealth" region, and the will to overcome difficulties, the desire to break through and rise up.
"The Politburo and the Secretariat agree with the main viewpoints, goals, targets, tasks and solutions, growth pillars, especially the breakthroughs identified in the draft Political Report", Politburo member Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized.
He believes that the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of all ethnic groups in Gia Lai province will unite, unite, overcome difficulties and challenges to successfully implement the Resolution of the Congress, making Gia Lai a fairly developed province of the country.
Steadfast in the new decade
At the Congress, Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee - announced the Politburo's Decision on appointing the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Accordingly, Senior Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc - Member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army - was appointed by the Politburo to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
The Deputy Secretaries of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term include: Mr. Rah Lan Chung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council; Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Chau Ngoc Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Gia Lai province; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province.
Speaking at the ceremony, the new Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, Thai Dai Ngoc, expressed his great honor but also a heavy responsibility before the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, before the previous cadres, the entire Party Committee, government and people of the province.
He affirmed that the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee will unite, unify, uphold political determination, constantly practice, improve leadership capacity, and preserve moral qualities following the example of President Ho Chi Minh.
The Executive Committee will work with the entire Party Committee, People and armed forces in the province to strive to successfully implement the goals and tasks set by the Congress, taking Gia Lai firmly into the new decade, becoming a dynamic, modern and sustainable developing locality.
