On the morning of October 3, at the Provincial Conference Center, the 1st Gia Lai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, opened its official session.
Attending and directing the Congress were Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee Nguyen Trong Nghia.
At the Congress, Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee - announced the Politburo's Decision on appointing the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Accordingly, the Politburo appointed the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee consisting of 60 members; the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee consisting of 18 members.
Senior General Thai Dai Ngoc - Member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army - was appointed by the Politburo to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
The Deputy Secretaries of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term include: Mr. Rah Lan Chung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council; Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Chau Ngoc Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Gia Lai province; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province.
Senior Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc was born on January 1, 1966; hometown: Da Nang City. He has a political theory qualification: Senior; professional qualification: Bachelor of Military.
He has held the positions of Commander of the Dak Nong Provincial Military Command, Military Region 5, Deputy Commander of the Military Region 5, Director of the Combat Department of the General Staff; Commander of the Military Region.
At the 13th National Congress of the Party, he was elected as a member of the 13th Party Central Committee, term 2021-2026.
On January 6, 2025, he holds the position of Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army. In August 2025, Mr. Thai Dai Ngoc was promoted from Lieutenant General to Senior Lieutenant General.
Mr. Ho Quoc Dung - Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term - will continue to run until the end of the Congress, and will be assigned other tasks by the Central Government.
