On the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2026), on August 26, the Hanoi City Party Committee organized a ceremony to award 80-year, 75-year, and 70-year Party Badges to 53 party members under the Hanoi City Party Committee.
General Secretary and President To Lam attended and spoke at the ceremony.
20,920 party members awarded badges from 30 years of Party membership or more
Phase 2. September 2026, Hanoi City Party Committee has 20,920 party members awarded Party Badges of 30 years of Party membership or more. Among them, the Party Badge of 70 years of Party membership or more has 160 party members; the Party Badge of 80 years of Party membership has 75 party members; the Party Badge of 75 years of Party membership has 14 party members and the Party Badge of 70 years of Party membership has 71 party members.
At the ceremony, 53 party members were healthy enough to receive Party Badges. For 107 party members who could not attend the awarding ceremony due to health reasons, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee assigned members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and leaders of communes and wards to award Party Badges to the comrades at their homes.
At the ceremony, General Secretary and President To Lam and Party and State leaders presented Certificates of Party Badges to Party members who received 80-year, 75-year, and 70-year Party Badges.

Speaking at the Party Badge Awarding Ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary and President To Lam respectfully sent to the elders, uncles, and comrades party members his warmest regards, respectful feelings, deep gratitude and warmest congratulations; affirming that this is the honor of each comrade, each family, and at the same time the common pride of the Party Committee, government and people of the Capital.
General Secretary and President emphasized that in the 81-year journey of great glory but also full of sacrifice and hardship of the nation, each victory is made by the strength of the people, the correct leadership of the Party and the contribution of many generations of cadres and party members, including the comrades who were awarded badges today.
The comrades have gone through war and peace, through the years when the country was still slavery, divided, besieged, and embargoed; through the cause of gaining independence, unification, restoration, building the country, renovation and international integration. Many comrades have directly fought, served in combat, many comrades worked in Party and State agencies, the Fatherland Front, the armed forces, mass organizations and at the grassroots level; many comrades spent their whole lives attached to factories, construction sites, schools, hospitals, cooperatives, villages and residential areas but all shined with common qualities: Loyalty, dedication, resilience, humility; close to the people, respecting the people, trusting the people and wholeheartedly serving the people.
All of that has contributed to building trust, consolidating the organization, maintaining solidarity and creating the strength of the Vietnamese revolution.
General Secretary and President affirmed that the Party, State and people will forever cherish and be grateful for their great contributions; sincerely thank families - those who have shared hardships, accepted many sacrifices and losses, and are always a solid rear for comrades to complete their tasks with the Party, with the country, and with the people.
General Secretary and President wished veteran Party members to continue to maintain their health; promote prestige, intelligence, experience and revolutionary sentiment; continue to be the spiritual support of Party committees, authorities and people; frankly contribute ideas to building the Party and building the government; educate traditions for children and young generations. True stories, true deeds, and years of dedication have great educational power, helping today's generation understand that revolutionary ideals are expressed by dedication, integrity, responsibility and actions that benefit the people and the country.
The General Secretary and President requested the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of Hanoi City to continue to pay close attention to the material, spiritual, and health life and regularly visit, listen, and respectfully receive the heartfelt and responsible opinions of senior Party members.
