The report from the Department of Organization and Personnel (Ministry of Home Affairs) also said that after the arrangement of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the new apparatus was reduced from 35 units to 22 units, equivalent to more than 37%.
The 22 units after the arrangement include 6 general staff blocks, 12 specialized blocks and 4 public service units.
Along with 60 cadres who voluntarily submitted early retirement petitions, the number of civil servants, public employees, and workers of the two ministries with less than 5 years of service is 191 people, of which the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has 131 people and the Ministry of Home Affairs has 60 people.
According to the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee recently signed by Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, the number of Deputy Ministers of the Ministry of Home Affairs increased by 2 people to make the total number of Deputy Ministers of the Ministry of Home Affairs no more than 7.
Accordingly, it is expected that after the merger, the leadership structure of the new Ministry of Home Affairs will include Ministers and 7 Deputy Ministers. The personnel from the two ministries after the merger is over 2,000 people.
The Resolution on increasing the number of Deputy Ministers and Deputy Heads of ministerial-level agencies of ministries and ministerial-level agencies aims to meet the requirements of the work of arranging and assigning cadres when implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the state apparatus.
