Speaking at the conference, Cao Bang Provincial Party Secretary Phan Thang An shared: Exactly 85 years ago, on January 28, 1941, after 30 years of struggling to find a way to save the country, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc returned to the Fatherland through landmark 108, setting foot on Pac Bo land, Truong Ha commune, Cao Bang province.
This is a particularly important historical event, opening a new stage of development of the Vietnamese revolution; at the same time, it is a turning point of the era, marking the inevitable convergence between scientific revolutionary theoretical thinking and the reality of the Vietnamese revolutionary movement, associated with the great victories of our nation in the 20th century.
The event of Uncle Ho's return to the country is the beautiful crystallization of the aspiration for national independence, of wisdom, bravery and a genius strategic vision; is the direct source of the great victories of the Vietnamese revolution, bringing our nation from slave status to become the master of the country, master of its destiny" - Secretary of Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee emphasized.
Cao Bang Provincial Party Secretary Phan Thang An said that in the context of our country entering a new stage of development, promoting renovation and deep international integration, the research and creative application of Ho Chi Minh's ideology is of deep current significance. Lessons from the event of Uncle Ho returning home - about independence, self-reliance, about taking the people as the root, about linking theory with practice still maintain their value for the cause of building and protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
Speaking at the conference, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) said that the Conference is a scientific activity of profound significance in terms of politics, ideology, theory and practice; contributing to further clarifying the great historical value of Uncle Ho's return to the country. At the same time, it provides important scientific arguments to serve propaganda and education of revolutionary traditions, fostering trust and aspirations to develop the country in the new period.
With a sharp political vision and a broad strategic vision, President Ho Chi Minh chose Cao Bang - a land with a particularly important geo-political, national defense, security and patriotic tradition as the first revolutionary base.

At the conference, scientists continued to clarify President Ho Chi Minh's strategic vision in selecting Cao Bang as a revolutionary base and the decision to shift strategic direction at the 8th Central Conference. Through this, lessons with sustainable value for current leadership and direction work were drawn.
