On November 23, it was noted that in the Cao Bang City Stadium area (old name), the machinery had demolished almost the entire A stand area, the roofing panels had been removed before.
The reinforced concrete part has been dismantled in part, and the work is being urgently carried out. Living right next to the stadium, Mr. Nguyen Son Doan (Thuc Phan ward) expressed a little regret when the project was demolished.
"I am nearly 40 years old this year, witnessing many big and small events held at the stadium, especially amateur football, now no longer, everyone regrets it" - Mr. Doan said.

Previously, due to the impact of storms No. 10 and No. 11, the old stadium of Cao Bang city was deeply flooded, covered with mud and garbage. The gate system and fences collapsed; stands A and B items were seriously degraded, at risk of collapsing, threatening the safety of people in the surrounding area.
Faced with the above situation, implementing the policy of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, from November 16, the People's Committee of Thuc Phan Ward officially dismantled unsafe items, cleared the scene, and at the same time implemented a plan to renovate the stadium into a public living space, flower garden, trees, sports training area and Ho Chi Minh cultural space.
Recently, the Standing Committee of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee agreed to implement the project of Renovation and renovation of the Thuc Phan Ward Stadium land (formerly Cao Bang city) according to the order and procedures for the emergency public investment project.

However, the Standing Committee also requires the design of the project to ensure division into 3 main functional subdivisions: a static area (Ho Chi Minh cultural space), a residential area (community activity area), a supporting landscape area, technical infrastructure, and a parking lot.
"Selecting a Ho Chi Minh statue model is based on three bases: historical suitability, artistic similarity, and procedural feasibility.
When completed, the project must ensure a complete solution to the situation of unsafety and environmental pollution due to collapsed structures and mud remaining in the land" - the content of the Standing Committee's conclusion.

In addition, the project also needs to form a free outdoor sports infrastructure system for the people, creating a solemn Ho Chi Minh cultural space with educational and artistic values, becoming a cultural and political highlight of the province.
A representative of the People's Committee of Thuc Phan Ward said that the locality is coordinating with functional agencies and consulting units to propose a suitable solution: "The immediate priority is to create a solemn space for people to remember, because Uncle Ho once visited and talked with people in the province".
In parallel with renovating the old stadium, Cao Bang province also assigned specialized agencies to prepare plans to build new stadium in a higher and safer location.
According to the reporter's source, the proposed location may be near the new administrative center of the province.
