On August 26, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a direct and online conference to summarize the movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in 2025. The conference in Hung Yen was attended by Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Huu Nghia, Chairman of the People's Committee Nguyen Khac Than and leaders of departments and branches.
According to reports from localities on updated software released by the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions on August 18, the whole country has supported 334,234 houses for policy beneficiaries and poor households, including 255,310 newly built houses and 78,924 repaired houses. The program has mobilized a huge amount of social resources, with a total cost of VND 24,761.596 billion, more than 2.7 million working days and 454,318 participants.
The beneficiaries include: people with revolutionary contributions; poor households and near-poor households under two national target programs (sustainable poverty reduction and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas); poor households and near-poor households outside the above two support groups.
In Hung Yen, the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" has become a highlight in the patriotic emulation movements of the province. Thanks to the participation of the entire political system, the close coordination between all levels and sectors and the consensus of the people, the program was completed 3 months earlier than planned, before June 30, although the province simultaneously reorganized commune-level administrative units and merged provincial-level administrative units from July 1.
The total number of households supported to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province in 2025 is 4,374 households, including 2,560 newly built households and 1,814 repaired households, with a total cost of VND 346.7 billion. Up to now, 100% of households with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs have been supported with housing; 100% of poor and near-poor households have had their temporary and dilapidated houses eliminated, and their funding paid in accordance with regulations.
This success not only helps improve people's lives, but also clearly demonstrates the spirit of "leaving no one behind", strengthening the great national unity bloc, arousing the tradition of mutual love in the community.
