On the afternoon of January 23, 2025, the 13th Party Central Committee Conference opened at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, Hanoi.

Attending the 13th Party Central Committee Conference were General Secretary To Lam; President Luong Cuong; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu.

Also attending the Conference were members of the Politburo, members of the Secretariat, and members of the Central Executive Committee.

Previously, on the morning of January 20, at the 2nd Conference of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), term 10, Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the VFF Central Committee - provided further information on the implementation of Resolution 18 on streamlining the political system apparatus.

Mr. Do Van Chien said that the Politburo and the Secretariat highly agreed to present this content to the Central Executive Committee. The Central Executive Committee will meet on January 23 and 24.

It is expected that after the 13th Party Central Committee Conference, the National Assembly will hold the 9th extraordinary session.

At this extraordinary session, the National Assembly will consider and decide to amend and supplement many laws and resolutions to serve the work of reorganizing the apparatus according to Resolution 18.

At the 41st session of the National Assembly Standing Committee in early January 2025, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man requested agencies and organizations to urgently prepare conditions for the session; work day and night, including Saturdays and Sundays, to specify the contents of the session.

"When the Politburo and the Central Executive Committee have Resolutions, the National Assembly must institutionalize those Resolutions to implement them in the apparatus arrangement" - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man clearly stated.
