On August 28, the National Assembly Standing Committee considered the report on people's aspirations of the National Assembly in July 2026.
The report on the work of people's petitions of the National Assembly in July 2026 clearly stated that voters and people trust in the leadership of the Party and State in managing socio-economic development, arranging organizational structures, administrative reform, digital transformation and in the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity.
At the meeting, Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Committee for Science, Technology and Environment Nguyen Thanh Hai highly appreciated the innovations in supervision and answering voters' recommendations in the past time.
To further improve the quality of reports, it is proposed to clearly disclose the names of ministries and sectors that perform well as well as units that are still slow in resolving voters' petitions.
Contributing opinions on prominent social issues of concern to voters, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai emphasized that the police agency has recently prosecuted a number of subjects with great influence on social networks (or known as network gangsters) such as Huan Hoa Hong, Hai Sapa.
Strictly handling these individuals affirms the spirit of respecting the law, there are no forbidden zones, no legal gaps and especially cyberspace is not a legal immunity zone" - Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai emphasized.
From the above cases, according to Ms. Hai, voters questioned why subjects can easily mobilize a very large amount of charity money and then take advantage of it. And it is necessary to clarify the tricks of taking advantage of this charity money.
The nature of this act is to take advantage of social networking sites and channels with millions of followers to create fake reputation, thereby manipulating people's trust in order to call for donations and appropriate property.
Functional agencies need to soon clarify and publicize all these tricks to warn the community, help people raise their vigilance and place their trust in the right place" - Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai stated.
Besides charity profiteering tricks, another burning issue pointed out is the situation of trading in counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, not as advertised, but receiving support and revenue of up to tens of billions of VND in a short time.
Products that are not as advertised, of unclear origin or traceability (such as perfumes, smoked buffaloes...). The phenomenon of self-declaring a regulation, standard, but the products sold have a different standard.
Although each person only buys 1-2 kg, it shows that the subjects get rich quickly, have big houses. In a short time, they have a very large amount of assets" - Ms. Hai emphasized.
This situation poses a major problem for state management of e-commerce activities. Although the cyberspace is booming, post-inspection, inspection and control are still very limited, causing serious damage to consumers.
According to this person, in the context that the legal system on e-commerce and electronic transactions is continuing to be improved in the direction of reducing "pre-inspection", strongly shifting to "post-inspection", the responsibilities of state management agencies need to be clearly and tightly regulated.
We need to clarify sophisticated tricks like this so that there are no more Huan Hoa Hong, other Hai Sapa who continue to profit from people's trust" - Chairman of the Committee for Science, Technology and Environment added.
