On July 11 in Hanoi, the Party Committee of the Central Public Security and the Ministry of Public Security organized a ceremony to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Security Forces (ANND) (July 12, 1946 - July 12, 2026) and receive the Golden Star Order.
General Secretary and President To Lam attended and delivered directing speeches at the Anniversary Ceremony. Also attending were Politburo members, Secretariat members, Central Party Committee members; leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, and Ministry of Public Security.

Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Head of the Investigation Security Agency of the Ministry of Public Security - said that through 80 years of construction, combat and growth, the People's Security Forces have made many outstanding achievements.

80 years is 29,200 days and nights, a journey written with absolute loyalty, resilience, sharp intelligence and countless silent sacrifices of generations of ANND officers and soldiers.
There are feats of arms that make up golden pages of national history that are remembered by the people and honored by history. But there are feats of arms that are forever silent, there are silent sacrifices to the point that even the most loved ones never know the whole story behind it" - Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung said.

With great contributions, the People's Security Forces were awarded the Golden Star Order 3 times by the Party and the State, the Ho Chi Minh Order 10 times, thousands of collectives and individuals were awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces and many other noble awards.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the traditional day, the People's Security Forces are honored and proud to be awarded the Gold Star Order for the 4th time by the Party and State. This is a great source of encouragement and motivation for generations of People's Security officers and soldiers to continue to strive and strive to excellently complete the mission of protecting the glorious national security.

Speaking to direct at the Anniversary Ceremony, General Secretary and President To Lam affirmed the role of the People's Security Forces as a solid support, a sword, a steel shield to protect the Party, the State and the people, contributing to moving the revolutionary cause forward.

Faced with the requirement to expand security protection in new spaces and fields, many challenges are being posed to the People's Security Forces. To fulfill the great responsibility in the new revolutionary period, General Secretary and President To Lam requested the People's Security Forces to focus on implementing 5 key tasks.
In which, security requirements in the new era must be very proactive, alert, and absolutely not lose vigilance. Expand the scope of security protection according to the principle of security to the extent of development. Firmly protect security in new spaces and fields, proactively respond to new forms of national security violations.
On behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security, received the directing opinions of General Secretary and President To Lam.

General Luong Tam Quang emphasized that he will build and implement a new high-level international integration strategy on security, proactively build and increase contributions to maintaining regional as well as global peace and stability, contributing to creating position and strength for national construction and development.
