On January 22, the Government Office announced that it had just issued Document No. 542/VPCP-QHDP on handling the proposal of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee at the working session of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.
The document clearly states that, regarding a number of recommendations and proposals of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee in Notice No. 34/TB-VPQH dated January 3, 2025 of the National Assembly Office on the announcement of the conclusion of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man at the working session with the Standing Committee of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has the following comments:
Regarding the Thach Khe iron ore mining project, it is recommended that the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province implement it in accordance with the direction of the Politburo.
The Ministry of Planning and Investment shall preside over and coordinate with the Ministries of Finance, Transport, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Rural Development, Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies to study and propose solutions to recommendations on:
First, introduce potential investors to invest in Ha Tinh.
Second, provide funding support to Ha Tinh province for inter-regional connectivity projects with spillover effects, including: the route connecting Vinh city (Nghe An) with Nghi Xuan district (Ha Tinh) via Ben Thuy 3 bridge; the water separation, flood diversion, and flood prevention system of Vung Ang Economic Zone; the Eastern beltway project and the Cua Khau bridge connecting the coastal route of Vung Ang Logistics Center and National Highway 12C; upgrading and expanding National Highway 1 through Ky Anh town and Vung Ang Economic Zone; the provincial road project DT.553 from Nam Dien to Loc Yen.
Regarding the study on the establishment of Vung Ang Free Trade Economic Zone associated with Vung Ang - Son Duong deep-water seaport, it is recommended that the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province study the necessity, consult the Ministry of Planning and Investment and relevant ministries and agencies on the establishment of Vung Ang Free Trade Economic Zone associated with Vung Ang - Son Duong deep-water seaport; summarize in the first quarter of 2025, report to competent authorities as prescribed.
Regarding the Project to renovate, embellish and build the Memorial Area of General Secretary Tran Phu, General Secretary Ha Huy Tap, after the Central Secretariat gave instructions, requested Ha Tinh province to coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to implement in accordance with the instructions of the Central Secretariat.
Regarding recommendations related to cooperation with Laos, the Ministry of Planning and Investment is assigned to preside over and coordinate with the Ministries of Finance, Transport and relevant agencies to study and propose solutions to recommendations in accordance with legal regulations.
Accordingly: there are mechanisms and policies to support the province in developing transport infrastructure connecting with Laos; investing in National Highway 8A and Cau Treo - Nam Phao border gate; transport infrastructure connecting with Vung Ang seaport.
The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Planning and Investment, Finance and the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province to study and propose support policies for Lao high school students to study in Ha Tinh province in accordance with legal regulations.
