Da Nang - Mr. Vu Ngoc Hoang, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Standing Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Training Commission, passed away at the age of 74.

On April 27, the family said that Mr. Vu Ngoc Hoang passed away at 2:00 PM on April 26, 2026, i.e., the 10th day of the 3rd year of Binh Ngo, at the age of 74. The coffin is placed at his private residence, No. 1A Huyen Tran Cong Chua street, Ban Thach ward, Da Nang city.

Mr. Vu Ngoc Hoang was born in 1953, from Khuong My village, Tam Xuan commune, Nui Thanh district, former Quang Nam province, now Tam Xuan commune, Da Nang city. He holds a doctorate degree and was once a member of the Party Central Committee of the X and XI terms.

During his work, Mr. Vu Ngoc Hoang held many important positions. From August 2001 to February 2008, he was Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee. In February 2011, he held the position of Standing Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Training Commission, now the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission.

At the end of 2016, he retired. After retiring, he continued to participate in the field of education, holding the position of Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Universities and Colleges in August 2019. In December 2020, at the 2nd Congress for the term 2020-2025, he was elected Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Universities and Colleges.

Mr. Vu Ngoc Hoang is also the author of "The Road ahead", a collection of political and social essays published by Da Nang Publishing House in October 2016.

According to funeral information, the encoffining ceremony will take place at 6:00 AM on April 27; the initiation ceremony at 8:40 AM; the funeral ceremony will begin at 9:00 AM on the same day. The memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on April 29. The burial ceremony will take place at 8:00 AM on April 30.
