On December 10, according to news from the Central Organizing Committee, Mr. Le Quang Thuong - former Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee - passed away at 5:15 p.m. on December 8, 2024 (November 8, Giap Thin year) in Hanoi, at the age of 86.
Mr. Le Quang Thuong was born on May 18, 1938; hometown: Nga Truong commune, Nga Son district, Thanh Hoa province. Permanent residence at B2, No. 13, Son Tay street, Dien Bien ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi city.
He participated in the December 1953 revolution, joined the Party on November 30, 1960; former: Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Organization Committee.
During his revolutionary activities, Mr. Le Quang Thuong was awarded the Second Class Independence Medal by the Party and State, the First Class Resistance War Medal against America for National Salvation, the 60-year Party membership badge and many other noble medals and orders.
The funeral of Mr. Le Quang Thuong was held according to high-level funeral rites. The visitation began at 7:30 a.m. on December 12, 2024 at the National Funeral Home, No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi.
Memorial service at 9:30 a.m. on December 12, 2024; cremation at Hoan Vu Crematorium, Van Dien, Hanoi, burial at Lac Hong Vien Cemetery Park, Hoa Binh.
