On the morning of December 27, speaking at the opening of the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress, Politburo Member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that this is a political and social event of profound significance, a "great festival of patriotism and aspiration to contribute", a place to honor typical advanced collectives and individuals - the most beautiful flowers in the 5-year emulation flower garden.
Recalling President Ho Chi Minh's teachings about "Patriotic emulation" nearly 80 years ago, the Prime Minister affirmed that the spirit of emulation has become a precious tradition and great internal strength of the nation.
With the motto "Loving the country means competing. Those who compete are the most patriotic", the emulation movements through each historical period are associated with brilliant milestones, from "Ba is ready", "Ba is capable" to "The whole country joins hands for the poor - not leaving anyone behind".
In particular, the campaign to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style has become the foundation for promoting patriotic emulation movements in the past period.

Assessing the past 5 years, the Prime Minister said that the country has faced countless difficulties and challenges. These are not only periodic issues but also historical moments.
However, under the leadership of the Party, directly the Politburo, the Secretariat, headed by the General Secretary, along with the involvement of the entire political system, the support of the people..., our country has overcome "counter-winds" and achieved many important achievements with timely and effective measures that are about changing the situation and changing the status.
