National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man signed and issued Resolution No. 1318/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units of Ninh Binh province for the 2023-2025 period.
The National Assembly Standing Committee resolved to establish Phuc Son and Thanh Son communes in Nho Quan district; to establish Tien Thang commune and Thinh Vuong town in Gia Vien district.
Accordingly, Phuc Son commune was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 10.01 km2, population of 5,426 people of Son Ha commune and the entire natural area of 17.88 km2, population of 5,850 people of Son Lai commune.
After its establishment, Phuc Son commune had a natural area of 27.89 km2 and a population of 11,276 people.
Phuc Son commune borders Quang Lac, Quynh Luu, Thanh Son communes; Gia Vien district, Hoa Lu city and Tam Diep city.
Thanh Son commune was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 5.56 km2, population of 3,585 people of Son Thanh commune and the entire natural area of 6.46 km2, population of 3,818 people of Thanh Lac commune.
After its establishment, Thanh Son commune had a natural area of 12.02 km2 and a population of 7,403 people.
The National Assembly Standing Committee resolved to establish Tien Thang commune (Gia Vien district) on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 4.74 km2 and population of 4,001 people of Gia Thang commune and the entire natural area of 4.43 km2 and population of 5,547 people of Gia Tien commune.
After its establishment, Tien Thang commune had a natural area of 9.17 km2 and a population of 9,548 people.
Tien Thang commune borders Gia Lap, Gia Phuong, Gia Sinh, Gia Tan, Gia Trung communes and Hoa Lu city.
At the same time, Thinh Vuong town was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 3.62 km2, population of 3,421 people of Gia Vuong commune, the entire natural area of 5.37 km2, population of 8,896 people of Gia Thinh commune and the entire natural area of 3.43 km2, population of 6,885 people of Me town.
After its establishment, Thinh Vuong town had a natural area of 12.42 km2 and a population of 19,202 people.
Thinh Vuong town borders Gia Hoa, Gia Lac, Gia Minh, Gia Phu, Gia Phuong, Gia Trung, Lien Son communes and Nho Quan district.
This Resolution comes into force from January 1, 2025.
