On January 16, 2025, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan signed Decision No. 167/QD-BCT on the dismissal of the Director of the Market Management Department (QLTT) of Thanh Hoa province.
The Minister of Industry and Trade decided to dismiss Mr. Lu Minh Thu from the position of Director of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Market Management Department according to Regulation No. 41-QD/TW and Decree No. 116/2024/ND-CP.
On the same day, the Minister of Industry and Trade also issued Decision No. 168/QD-BCT on assigning the position of Director of the Market Management Department of Thanh Hoa province to Mr. Truong Van Diep - Deputy Director of the Market Management Department of Thanh Hoa province until the position of Director of the Market Management Department of Thanh Hoa province is completed.
Previously, on December 16, 2024, Mr. Dinh Khanh Toan - Deputy Director of Thanh Hoa Market Management Department signed Document No. 1914 /QLTTTH-TCHC requesting Mr. Lu Minh Thu - Director of Thanh Hoa Province Market Management Department to submit the Market Inspection Card to the Market Management Department on December 16, 2024.
The above request is a step to implement Decision No. 3263/QD-BCT dated December 11, 2024 of the Minister of Industry and Trade on disciplining civil servants; Decision No. 2920/QD-TCQLTT dated December 13, 2024 of the General Director of the General Department of Market Management on temporarily suspending the use of the Market Inspection Card for Mr. Lu Minh Thu.
Mr. Lu Minh Thu was also disciplined with a warning by the Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding his decision to discipline subordinates in violation of regulations, abuse of power, unfair and undemocratic transfers and appointments; and rotation of positions, which went against the resolutions and decisions of the Party Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Market Management Department.
Mr. Lu Minh Thu, born in 1967, from Ha Trung district, Thanh Hoa province. Mr. Thu has a Master's degree in Business Administration and a Senior Degree in Political Theory. Mr. Lu Minh Thu is currently a delegate of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term.
Before being appointed as Director of the Department of Market Management of Thanh Hoa province, Mr. Lu Minh Thu was Secretary of the Vinh Loc district Party Committee.
Mr. Lu Minh Thu used to work at the Department of Industry and Trade of Thanh Hoa province, holding the position of Deputy Director of this department.
In December 2020, Mr. Lu Minh Thu was mobilized and appointed by the Standing Committee of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of Vinh Loc District Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term.
In August 2023, Mr. Lu Minh Thu was appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Market Management of Thanh Hoa province.
