On February 26, at the 22nd thematic session - Hue City People's Council, term VIII, 2021 - 2026, Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, former Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee.
At the meeting, Director of the Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Van Manh presented a report on the election of Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai as additional Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.
After reviewing the review report of the Legal Committee - City People's Council, the delegates conducted a secret ballot. As a result, with 100% of delegates in favor, the Hue City People's Council unanimously elected Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term. At the same time, the People's Council also passed a resolution confirming this election result.
Thus, up to now, the leaders of Hue City People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term include:
Chairman of the City People's Committee: Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong; 4 Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee: Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai.
Also in the session, Mr. Nguyen Dai Vien - Director of the Department of Construction, was elected by the City People's Council to hold the position of Head of the Urban Committee of the Hue City People's Council.
In addition, the City People's Council also dismisses the position of Member of the City People's Committee for the following individuals:
Mr. Nguyen Dai Vien, Director of the Department of Construction; Mr. Ho Xuan Trang, Head of the City Ethnic Committee; Mr. Ho Thang - Director of the Department of Science and Technology. The dismissal is carried out according to regulations due to the above individuals transferring to other jobs.
According to the Law on Organization of Local Government, the number of Vice Chairmen of Provincial People's Committees is regulated by the Government. According to Decree No. 08, regulations for urban administrative units:
Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City: No more than 5 Vice Chairmen of the People's Committee.
Other centrally-governed cities: No more than 4 Vice Chairmen of the People's Committees.
The completion of the leadership apparatus of the Hue City People's Committee aims to ensure effective operation, meeting the development requirements of the locality in the 2021 - 2026 term.
