On February 26, the Office of the Hue City People's Committee announced that at the 22nd thematic session, the Hue City People's Council passed a resolution on the establishment and reorganization of specialized agencies under the City People's Committee. This arrangement aims to improve the efficiency of state management, streamline the administrative apparatus, and meet development requirements.
Accordingly, establish specialized agencies under the City People's Committee as follows:
Establish the Department of Finance on the basis of merging the Department of Finance and the Department of Planning and Investment.
Establish the Department of Construction on the basis of merging the Department of Construction and the Department of Transport.
Establish the Department of Science and Technology on the basis of merging the Department of Information and Communications and the Department of Science and Technology.
Establish the Department of Agriculture and Environment on the basis of merging the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
Establish the Department of Home Affairs on the basis of merging the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; at the same time, arrange the City Ethnic Committee under the Department of Home Affairs.
Reorganize specialized agencies under the City People's Committee as follows:
Department of Justice; Department of Industry and Trade; Department of Education and Training; Department of Culture and Sports; Department of Health.
After establishment and reorganization, the City People's Committee has 14 specialized agencies, including: Department of Finance; Department of Construction; Department of Science and Technology; Department of Agriculture and Environment; Department of Home Affairs; Department of Justice; Department of Industry and Trade; Department of Education and Training; Department of Culture and Sports; Department of Health; Department of Tourism; Department of Foreign Affairs; Office of the City People's Committee; City Inspectorate.
This Resolution was approved by the 8th Hue City People's Council, 22nd thematic session on February 26, 2025 and took effect from March 1, 2025.
