Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just issued Decision No. 919/QD-TTg, dated August 28, 2024 on assigning tasks to Deputy Prime Ministers.
According to this decision, Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh was assigned to be the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government.
Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh will monitor and direct work areas including: Planning and investment, forecasts and macroeconomic management policies; Developing all types of businesses, collective economies, and cooperatives.
Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh is also in charge of the following fields: Crime prevention and combat; prevent and combat smuggling and trade fraud; prevent and combat corruption; inspect and resolve complaints and denunciations; ethnicity, religion; Frequent issues of emulation - rewards, administrative reform, digital transformation.
He is also assigned to monitor amnesty issues, judicial reform and coordination between the Government and the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy...
Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh will monitor and direct the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Government Inspectorate, the Committee for Ethnic Minorities, and the Government Office.
Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh also holds the following duties: Head of the Steering Committee for Crime Prevention and Control; Head of the National Steering Committee to combat smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods; Head of the Central Steering Committee to implement 3 National target programs, building new rural areas in the 2021-2025 period, sustainable poverty reduction in the 2021-2025 period, and socio-economic development of ethnic minority areas digital and mountainous areas in the period 2021-2030; Head of the Steering Committee for innovation and development of collective and cooperative economies; Chairmen of Councils, National Committees, Heads of Steering Committees, and Chairmen of Councils appraise plans according to relevant fields.
The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister will act on behalf of the Prime Minister to direct the implementation of the Government's work in the Prime Minister's absence and is authorized by the Prime Minister.
Previously, on August 26, at the 8th extraordinary session, the National Assembly approved the appointment of Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh, at the request of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
New Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, 66 years old, is from Nghia Hanh district, Quang Ngai province. He has the qualifications of Professor, Doctor of Law, Security University; Advanced political theory.
Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh is a member of the Party Central Committee, terms XI, XII, XIII; Member of the Politburo term XIII; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, terms XII and XIII; Delegate to the 13th, 14th and 15th National Assembly.
